V Pastrol Visit 2017

His Grace Most Rev.Thuma Bala, Archbishop Of Hyderabad and Chairman, Hyderabad Archdiocese Educational Society visited our college on 13th December 2017. It started with the welcoming of His Grace in our college premises. It was followed by college report by M.D.Sandeep, Director-Operations.It was followed by acknowledging the students for their academic excellence and achievements by distribution of medals and mementos for best outgoing student, best outgoing merit student and a token of appreciation award to the most regular student. The session continued with poster presentations by students on various pharmacy related topics like diabetic mellitus, CVS diseases and different dosage forms available in the market, current trends in drug discovery and also a presentation on Indian pharmaceutical companies and their global scenario which included top ten pharmaceutical companies in Hyderabad. A drug information center was formed to update the common man with importance on usage of drugs as prescribed and their mechanism of action. A demonstration on working of tablet manufacturing process was done. The Archbishop visited the herbal garden and students explained about various medicinal plants. He inspected individual labs and observed certain lab experiments. It was followed by verification of various registers and records. The session concluded with Archbishop's interaction with faculty members and vote of thanks.
